Let’s get something clear. There is not enough Benjamin Sisko fic. Here’s some completely up for grabs plotbunnies. Feel free to pile on more.
* A l l the post canon fic
* Sisko and Kasidy chilling on post-canon Bajor with their baby.
* Sisko rejoining Starfleet to fight the borg invasion (novel canon, but tbh you can do better by Sisko)
* Sisko feeling compelled to go to Cardassia for the relief efforts for a few months or a year.
* Sisko negotiating Bajor’s entrance to the Federation
* Sisko interacting with the new Kai
* Gamma Quadrant exploration fic (also sort of novel canon, but once again, you can do it different)
* Sisko meeting up with any of the Voyager crew post-canon
* SISKO WITH THE PROPHETS C’MON THIS IS YOUR CHANCE TO WAX PHILOSOPHICAL AND WRITE NON-LINEAR VIGNETTES AND ALTERNATE UNIVERSES AND RETURN TO FAR BEYOND THE STARS OKAY GIVE ME THIS
* Tired post-canon, post-celestial temple Sisko alternating between being the world’s best stay at home dad on Bajor and joining Kasidy on her ship.
*Sisko meets Picard again.
* Sisko and Ro Laren (DS9′s post canon security officer in the novels)
* Benjamin/Kasidy/Jadzia OT3
* Ben getting therapy after Wolf 359 & Jennifer’s death
* Ben introducing Jennifer to Curzon
* Ben/Curzon fic or alternatively, Ben & Curzon inebriated shenanigans
* Any interactions whatsoever between Benjamin and Curzon
* In a deleted scene in The Wire, Ben mentions trying to step in on behalf of a Romulan cook who was taken in by the Tal Shiar. He’s real ambiguous about how well that turned out.
* Ben and Jake throughout the years
* Romantic fluff with Ben’s canon love interests.
* Kasidy is trying to propose. Ben is trying to propose. The entire cast is giving them helpful advice.
* Academy fic. Remember, Ben is an engineering student and meets Jennifer at the academy.
* 5+1 style fics about what a massive n e r d Ben is. This man built a spaceship with his bare hands to prove a point.
* Mirrorverse fic that’s actually Sisko centric, of which my trashy mirrorverse loving self has seen none.
Mirror!Sisko deserves a lot more analysis. He’s a rather dark version of our Sisko in the sense that he’s largely cut himself off from his caring nature (a fundamental part of Sisko), but he’s ready to care again with hardly any prompting and he still has a crew he cares deeply about. Also, no matter how mirror!Sisko would frame it, his “relationship” with the Intendent is repeated sexual assault.
* Fics about all the times Sisko clashed with Starfleet Command.
* Character studies and Sisko POV fics about his relationships with Quark, Dukat, Nog, and Ezri.
* Sisko mourning Curzon (however that works for joined Trills) and Jennifer.
See that dropped plot-point? Pick it right up.
*Remember when we discovered that Sisko’s birth was prearranged by the Prophets? Do something not cringe-worthy with that.
* So how did Sisko feel about Kasidy being Maquis? Alternatively, a Kasidy fic about her assisting the Maquis where Ben plays an important role.
* Canon-rewrite/canon-compliant fic about DS9′s first season from Ben’s perspective. Show him recovering from his grief, developing a friendship with Kira, etc.
Notice how Sisko has to send one of his least experienced crew members to infiltrate a dangerous amoral intelligence organization and the very next episode he becomes an accessory to murder? How does he deal with that?

* AU where the borg win Wolf 359, assimilate most of the Federation, and Sisko is on one of the surviving Federation rebellion vessels (that is inevitably forced to team up with the Cardassian Union).
* AU where Sisko leaves Starfleet before meeting the Prophets or AU where he leaves right after the pilot but somehow the prophets keep calling him back. (Maybe he leaves on this lovely civilian freighter?)
* Mirror!Sisko meets the Prophets AU
* AU where Sisko joins the Maquis. AU where Kira joins and Sisko helps from within the system because his loyalties are torn.
* AU where Wolf 359 happens ten years before the Cardassian Occupation ends and Sisko is assigned to post that involves interaction with Cardassians before the Occupation is over.
* AU where section 31 does not contact Julian Bashir and contacts Sisko after the end of In the Pale Moonlight
* AU where Sisko is in command of a space ship that undergoes Voyager’s plot. (Bonus if Kira is Maquis and Julian is a hologram).
* Ben’s morality is a very central part of his character. Use plots from other shows (like Enterprise’s cogenitor or TNG’s Measure of a Man) to show how Sisko would react.
